I was very excited to see the UPS truck come by today. I have been working on a labor of love for over two years now and the final product arrived today!
I was asked by Dr. Johnny Matson & Springer to create a book about technology and autism and while it was overwhelming at times, I am thrilled with the final product, Technology and the Treatment of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I have to thank the talented chapter authors who contributed to this practical and research based work: Georgina Lynch, Kristie Brown Lofland, Kristi Jordan, Amy Bixler Coffin, Brenda Smith Myles, Jan Rogers, Wendy Szakacs, Ryan Kellems, Terisa Gabrielsen, Caroline Williams, Marissa Lynn Diener, Cheryl Wright, Scott Wright, Laura Linnell Anderson, Phyllis Jones, Catherine Wilcox, Jodie Simon, Kevin Ayres, Sally Shepley, Karen Douglas, Collin Shepley, Justin Lane, and Tricia Nelson.
I am in awe when I think about the years of hard work and perseverance that all of the contributors have dedicated to the autism community. I can’t wait to hear stories from people who read this book and immediately translate the information into hands-on actions they can use right away! It is amazing what we can all do together. Thank you!
